The Drammed is a Scottish rock band with members based in Kirkwall and Falkirk.
Formed in 2021 by Eamonn Keyes and Dougie Bendall to provide a studio-based production outlet for new and original songs.
Eamonn and Dougie had previously been collaborating with others as members of studio band /creatives The Bletherin.
They met - or to be more accurate didn’t meet - during the first COVID lockdown in April 2020. Dougie, working in the Arabian Gulf, had advertised on Twitter for someone to sing a line or two on one of his songs, and Eamonn volunteered and ended up singing and producing the entire song.
The pair are now working on completing their debut album
‘A Beginner’s Guide to Chaos.’
The album comprises an eclectic mix of original songs that take the listener on a journey of the lives of two well-seasoned guys, who really do enjoy a dram and who worked and played hard!
Dougie Bendall has been playing in bands and writing songs since the 1990s and was a regular at Open Mic spots in the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Eamonn Keyes is originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he spent many years as a musician, sound engineer and producer, before coming to Orkney in 2016. Eamonn also composes and produces film soundtracks.
The pair eventually met in person in June 2023!
