Glasgow-based artist David Milne takes on all writing and performing duties as The Dress Rehearsal. Producing a beautiful cacophony, mixing the relics of 60s pop with a classical baroque sensibility.
With multiple singles already released, he has moved in a new direction musically with recent releases 'I Don't Want To Do This Anymore', 'Out On The Tiles’, ‘Theda Bara’ and ‘My Own Curtain Call’, fuelled with vocal harmonies and classical pop elements.
After releasing multiple singles, David took to Castle Of Doom Studios in Glasgow with collaborator and Co-Producer Jamie Holmes (Callum Beattie, Gerry Cinnamon, Declan Welsh) and produced his debut self titled album 'The Dress Rehearsal'. A concept album which is loosely based around a theatre show, all connected from start to finish. Merging classical pop elements with 60s inspired melodies, lush string and brass arrangements, and vocal harmonies largely influenced by The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Harry Nilsson but given a twist to suit even the more modern music listener.
