The Drood is an American experimental psych-rock band from featuring Nathan Jamiel, Daniel Watts, and Hayden Peltier. Their captivating blend of industrial, post-rock, shoegaze and psychedelic genres offer a provocative experience for fans of avant-garde music. The band's eclectic nature has led them to explore a wide range of styles including ballads, ambient drones, dance, noise-rock, and more, and they are not afraid to inject a touch of wry humor into the mix.
Formed in 2012, The Drood has since released three full-length albums and several singles and music videos. The band have worked with Randall Frazier of The Legendary Pink Dots and Orbit Service and have collaborated with Mark Spyby and Dead Voices On Air. In June The Drood released their third album Superposition, a full-length dark ambient work composed as a soundtrack for the Mysteries of UB television show, and opened for Itchy-O at Levitt Denver. The Drood is currently working on a new full-length album due-out later this year.
