The intention in the music produced by the Drunken Monk is to support awareness and to connect with the reality of now. To dance and to feel free in the movement of the body. Or to rest in stillness with the gentle and soothing sounds that calm the mind and still the heart.
Most of the music is produced in the natural tuning frequency of 432 Hertz, often using the authentic sounds of the surrounding nature, Celtic melodies and shamanic rhythms.
The recording studio is situated in the Pre Alps of Northern Italy. In this peaceful environment there is little to distract from the process of producing sounds and music. It is intended that this calm is embedded into the music and sensed by the listener.
