The Drycleaners

In early 2023 Jonah Parda-Jay came together with his lifelong friends River Lewis-Gosch and Ziya May in his garage to start playing music together. River had always been an incredible vocalist while Ziya and Jonah had always loved playing instruments. However, an issue quickly arose; Ziya and Jonah had little experience in guitar. This led Ziya to fill the role of bassist while Jonah filled the role of drummer and searched for a new member.

It was at this point that Laith entered the scene; he and Jonah had met in 6th grade science class. Jonah reached out and asked if he would be interested, to which he said ‘yes’. The four of them began to play cover songs together and quickly got a feel for playing with one another.

One day, while practicing, Laith showed the band an idea for a song he had come up with. This idea would later become the song 20 Miles which was released as their debut single and played at their first live performance at the Skylark. From there, the rest is history; by the end of 2023 they had 3 more songs in the making and from there the only way to go was up.
