The Eagle & Child is an indie-alternative band, based in Southern California. After playing for a combined total of 45 years in various touring bands, the four musicians of The Eagle & Child came together through a church, with the single goal of creating something resonant, free and unique. Having begun their focus as a worship band, the band is creating music that reaches into the deeper infinite spaces with wonder, and takes a sober look at reality.
With this, The Eagle & Child is a band that has never quite fit in. Calling them a “Worship Artist” or “Church Band” could miss the deep desire they have to reach new horizons with art and thought. While fused together through worship and faith, these musicians; Brad Davis on vocals and guitar, Nick Maybury on lead guitar, Luke Floeter on bass and keys and Spencer Kim on drums, want to see individuals, communities, cities, and nations reflect on their faith, acknowledge their blindness, and embody the love of God.
It is this vision that brings their third Album - Sight. Sight is a concept record to give hope to the tired, to create space for the wounded through passionate guitar solos, songs that are at-times ethereal and other times quite direct, and backed by provocative, intrinsically thought-provoking lyrics.
The Eagle & Child have performed together for 6 years. Previous albums include All Moments and Let’s Run EP. They’re based in San Diego, CA and headed out on a midwest and east coast tour in September.
