Formed by singer and guitarist Isaiah Silva after his former band the Rambles dissolved, the Eeries was originally created as a songwriting outlet for the introverted songwriter. After working on material himself, he began to share his new work with friends, eventually teaming up with guitarist Brandon Sweeney, bassist Eliot Lorango, and drummer Nadir Maraschin to form what would become the Eeries. The band found their career suddenly jump-started when the famous L.A. radio station KROQ added the unsigned band's first single, "Cool Kid," to the station's rotation. The alt-rock revivalists were quickly snapped up by Interscope Records, picking up famous fans like Gerard Way and Courtney Love as they went. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi
