The Electric Cactus

A response to a classifieds ad reading “MUSICIANS WANTED” in the fall of 2017 brought together lead guitarist Liam Gray and rhythm guitarist/lead singer Will Adams; thus birthing The Electric Cactus. They began playing live shows a couple of years later, and have released an EP/demo Demolish (2018) and their debut full length album The Electric Cactus (2020). After tirelessly searching for the perfect lineup, bassist Zack Hollow (Black Throne Productions/Z Hollow Studios) would join in 2023, and as of spring 2024, Raul Guitierrez-Ruiz has been joining them on drums for live performances. Drawing influence from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age/Kyuss, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden (just to name a few); The Electric Cactus play a healthy mix of vintage rock and roll with a driving, desert vibe. Originally setting their roots in Oakville, Ontario, they now operate out of Hamilton and have become a pillar in the local Stoner/Doom/Psych/Sludge scene; playing shows with acts such as The Death Wheelers, Sons of Arrakis, Salem's Bend, AAWKS, Astral Witch, Nova Doll, Twin Banshee, Cannabus and many more.
