The indie electro-rock band, The Fairweather formed in January of 2015, when Ashkan Karimi & Austin Donoho invited mutual friend Bobby Ross over to jam in a suburban garage in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ever since that first cold rehearsal, and the addition of a longtime friend, Aaron Seale, The Fairweather has been constantly reinventing themselves; synthesizing their sound with a passion born out of frustrated hope and dogged optimism. In light of their debut record "Untie My Tongue," The Fairweather have taken a new and focused approach in writing their sophomore project to establish their reputation; creating their own brand of bold and bombastic rock built on a foundation of greasy, infectious grooves and the classic dusting of 80's electro-pop.
Since their inception, the band has stayed committed to writing and recording even while touring and playing a steady stream of live shows throughout the Midwest. Sharing stages and festival slots with resembling acts like Mute Math, Dreamers, Civil Twilight, Young The Giant, and more have been highlights during their short time together. With their goal to create art that is close to the heart and honest, The Fairweather value staying true to what they believe music should do: make you feel. With a goal to be relevant yet timeless, personal and genuine, The Fairweather captivate listeners with thoughtful songwriting, heartfelt lyrics, and a passionate live show you don’t want to miss.
