Brought together by a shared love of left-field pop music, beats, psychedelia, cinematic
and found-sounds, The Family Knife began rehearsing in late 2015, having called time with respective former bands 8Ball, Ghost Estates, Bear Bones and Kormac's Big Band.
With a stated brief to make electronic music from an organic perspective, the four songwriters have drawn comparisons with everyone from Deerhunter and Kurt Vile, to The Jesus and Mary Chain to Sixties Pop. Go figure.
Having built a solid reputation with some low key single releases, The Family Knife released their self-titled debut album in Summer 2019
