The Fantasia (Fan-Taze-Sha) formed in 2019. The group has since played numerous shows across Belfast and Northern Ireland as a whole, supporting some of the biggest and best acts the country has to offer, such as <a href="spotify:artist:417IdBhnrvF4AtIG4ug9dp" data-name="Saint Sapphire">Saint Sapphire</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:55ktckjjSW79NvfQwLIdFa" data-name="Buffalo Bay">Buffalo Bay</a>.
The group consists of Gerard Mclarnon on Bass and Lead Vocals, Patrick Silver on Drums and Backing Vocals and a Guitar Duo lineup of Aaron Collins and Robbie McCabe.
Within a few months since the bands formation, they went from playing covers to writing and recording their own original material, taking influence from bands like <a href="spotify:artist:0k17h0D3J5VfsdmQ1iZtE9" data-name="Pink Floyd">Pink Floyd</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3WrFJ7ztbogyGnTHbHJFl2" data-name="The Beatles">The Beatles</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7jy3rLJdDQY21OgRLCZ9sD" data-name="Foo Fighters">Foo Fighters</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2Hkut4rAAyrQxRdof7FVJq" data-name="Rush">Rush</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1dfeR4HaWDbWqFHLkxsg1d" data-name="Queen">Queen</a>.

In early 2020, The Fantasia began to attract the attention of a local Belfast Record Label called Traxx. The ever growing interest in the group was put on indefinite hold for the considerable future due to the Coronavirus outbreak. However, as soon as tensions began to loosen and some of the restrictions were lessened, the boys got straight back to work and signed a Record Deal with Traxx on 05/07/2020.
On the 26th October 2020, The Fantasia released their debut single, “Something on Your Mind” on all streaming platforms, followed by their self-titled debut Ep on 14/11/2020.
