The Fell Swoop is soulful pop with a queer, funky edge—equal parts dance floor, therapy session, and late-night conversation. Since forming in San Francisco in 2016, the band has been on a mission to capture the city’s spirit: authentic, welcoming, and unapologetically expressive.

Over the past decade, The Fell Swoop has crafted a sound that feels just as at home in headphones as it does on a festival stage. Their songs connect with the lonely bar patron, the neurodivergent daydreamer, and packed crowds looking for a reason to move.

The band has performed at SXSW, toured the West Coast, and become a fixture of San Francisco’s independent music scene, with appearances at The Independent, Regency Ballroom, August Hall, SF Pride Main Stage, and countless clubs, festivals, and street fairs.

One of the band’s greatest strengths is its chemistry. The original lineup has remained together for nearly a decade: Caleb (guitar), Zach (drums), Pearce (keys), Brian (bass), and Mark (vocals / lyrics), Max (sax), Leo (trumpet), and Frankie (backup vocals / aux percussion). That longevity has shaped not just their sound, but the community around it—where fans quickly become part of the Swoop.
