The Figs, a pop-rock band heavily influenced by the 60s with a dash of surf vibes, are characterized by their catchy and poetic music. The band was founded almost a decade ago by longtime friends Moritz Fredrich and Cosmo Jedryczka. Not only did the two share the school bench, but also a common passion for music, which led them to play together in various bands from an early age.
This year, Moritz and Cosmo decided to take their creative collaboration to a new level. They brought Fridtjof Schulze (Drums) and also Julia Giampietro(Bass), into the band. With them on board, theBand was now complete and ready to explore musical paths together.
Despite the challenges of establishing themselves in the music scene, The Figs remain optimistic. They firmly believe that good music ultimately speaks for itself. Moritz, Cosmo, Fridtjof and Julia are not just bandmates but also best friends. This close bond and their shared enjoyment of making music shape their collaboration, lending their music a special energy and authenticity.
