Maigan Scott, popularly known as The Finest is a fast-rising independent Singer, Songwriter, and Rapper from Detroit Michigan. She grew up in Philadelphia but recently moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of her passion for music. The autodidactic music sensation is influenced by ace artists like Anita Baker, Aretha Franklin, Mary J Blige, Faith Evans, Aaliyah, Lil Kim, Queen Latifah, Brandy, and more. The development of her unique style of music is the result of a lifetime of musical influence she received from family members - a long line of singers, dancers, DJs, and entertainers. Growing up in a musically talented family meant that music first found Maigan.
The Finest chose music as a platform to express herself because this is the area that inspires her the most in life. Growing up and through high school and college, she has always had a flair for the stage, dancing, modeling, singing, and performing.
Regardless of the musical trends and styles, The Finest is definitive about her purpose of music and desires to inspire black women of all backgrounds and break molds in the music industry. She is a lifelong music lover with a keen ear for good sound as well as a greater passion for her craft.
