A project forged in the flames of a pandemic, The Foolks simply wouldn't exist without COVID-19.
A reflection of the world's current situation, their name is based on a combination of the words 'folks' (people) and 'fool' (crazy).
Formed by French producer & songwriter; Emmanuel Dron, The Foolks are an elite group of musicians, consisting for the first album of - Jamie Wiltshire (lead vocalist from Cambridge, UK), Emmanuel Dron (guitarist French based in Singapore), Andrew Picha (drummer from Nashville, USA) and Charles Berthoud (bassist from Massachusetts, USA).
For the second album released in November 2021, band consisted of of Katie Burke (from Nashville USA), Emmanuel Dron (guitarist from Singapore), Charles Berthoud (bassist from Massachusetts, USA), Fernando Perdomo (drummer from L.A USA), Abel Boquera (Hammond organ) and Roni Seiler (Strings).
With an abundance of musical experience between them, The Foolks have overcome both geographical & pandemic induced barriers, working from around the globate create a lockdown project unlike any other.
The tones & melodies of The Foolks are akin to The Rolling Stones, with powerful guitar rides that push the music alongside punchy vocals and jazzy drum beats.
