"If Massive Attack shared a rehearsal space with Deftones to record the soundtrack for Ketamine therapy sessions..."
The Fracture creates instrumental music that recalls the height of late 90’s trip-hop and fuses delay and reverb drenched post-rock riffs against a lush atmospheric backdrop. After a hiatus of almost 20 years from creating music together, The Fracture sees the two artists reunited in this project that melds a broad range of influences they share including Massive Attack, Team Sleep, The XX, If These Trees Could Talk, and Radiohead.
Their debut album ”Signaling” was released in 2021 and features guest appearances by Evan Willey on bass (Still Remains) and Michael Kok on Violin. The follow up release in 2022 called “Interstitial” saw the duo draw more heavily on their post-rock influences and also featured collaborations with Paul Jenson (Drums) and mix/mastering assistance from Addison Eilers… both of the two-man experimental Post-Rock/Shoegaze band, Tiny Tree. Throughout 2023, The Fracture released a series of collaborations with guest vocalists including Joe Lenneman of Sunday Morning Garbage Truck, Marie Del Vega, Darin Christian and KPZ.
“Pulse”, the third album by The Fracture is slated for release in July of 2024 and see the duo digging deeper into their electronic influences while expanding on the cinematic nature of the songs and experimenting with new sounds.
