The Frites

The Frites formed just outside of San Antonio in Boerne Texas amongst four high school friends. What began as bad covers of the black keys in a garage grew into slightly better covers of other bands and then into the album "Vallerie," which was produced independently at home by the band. This album grew out of our desire to write something outside of the expectations of our listeners, and deals with feelings of confusion, longing, dejection, and prospect. Our relative inexperience ended up being something that we feel gives the music a feeling of genuity and originality.

The members of The Frites include Marc Rodriguez (drums, backup vocals, cello), Connor Cook (lead vocals), Adam Majdi (lead and rhythm guitar), and Conner Simmons (bass, keyboards, production). While The Frites have not officially broken up, each member is currently attending a different school which means for now regular rehearsals aren't possible. Marc Rodriguez attends the university of the Incarnate Word where he is studying to become an optometrist. Connor Cook attends the Texas A&M University and is studying Construction Engineering. Adam Majdi attends Texas A&M Univ. Galveston where he studies maritime engineering. Conner Simmons attends the University of North Texas and is studying Music Composition.
