From 2025 on, THE GURU GURU wants to push their boundaries even more and do something totally different. To bring you something new, fresh, never heard before, … and absolutely crazy. They've started a collab with genre-bending composer Lennert Baerts and Muze Jazz Orchestra to write the rock & jazz opera ‘The Whistlewood Ball - Bedtime stories of song, secrets and sprouts (and Beyoncé)’. A surreal sound-theatre journey through insomnia and imagination.

With a libretto by Tom Adriaenssens (aka Tom The Bomb), the narrative threads together imaginative characters — from Flora the Fragrant Ferret to Bruno the Baritone Badger or Pum Pum the Cloud Sprout — into a tapestry of surreal bedtime tales for teens and adults alike. Told with humor, heart, and a dash of Roald Dahl-esque darkness, these interlocking fables explore themes of anxiety, community, and being heard.
