The Hall Effect emerged in Bogotá in 2004 and quickly became one of the most compelling acts in Colombia’s independent rock scene. With a sound that shifts between britrock and indie, the band made its breakthrough with Aim at Me (2007), an album that earned heavy rotation on MTV Latin America and led to a nomination for Best Independent Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Throughout their career, The Hall Effect has developed a multilingual musical universe — in English, French, and Spanish — showcased in works such as The Hall Effect (2010), produced by Phil Manzanera and recorded in London, and ¿Y Por Qué No? (2014). Live performance has been a defining element of the band’s identity, taking them on European tours and placing them as the opening act for international artists such as Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Pearl Jam, Gwen Stefani, and Aerosmith.
Today, with a lineup featuring Óscar Correa (vocals), Douglas Bravo (bass), Juan David Bernal (guitar) and Alejandro Duque (drums), the band continues to expand its sound and solidify its place within contemporary Latin American rock.
