Roaring onto the worldwide music scene on a full tank of electrifying, guitar-fueled bravado; The Hanged Toupans are an emerging stoner rock band from Canada. They blend together thunderously chunky riffs, with thumping rock n’ roll rhythms and infectious, soaring vocal hooks.
A pretty epic package for a band only made up of two guys. Inspired by the wild sounds of the 60’s and 70’s, the duo have been causing a stir all year and released their first album in April 2020.
The band is formed by Fabricio Barreto (Guitar & Vocals) and Luis Cardoso (Drums & Vocals). Despite being born in Brazil, they met each other in Canada in the 2010s.
Fabricio has been a rock musician since the early 1990s. He's an addict when it comes to modifying guitars wiring, and has built his own sound creation process around the limitless textures available on self-made instruments.
Luis is a detail-oriented drummer and a music professor. He has an intuitive ability to adapt significantly to the song, band, or situation. He began playing drums in the 1990s and played different styles like Punk Rock, World Music, Folk, Classic Rock and Ska-Swing.
