The Hate Bombs

Originally formed under the concept of being a one record band, The Hate Bombs took shape in 1993 with Dave Ewing (guitar/vocals), Mick Crowley (guitar), Ken chiodini (drums) and Scott Sugiuchi (bass). Within two months of their formation, their first single "Peckinpah Man" was released on Speed-O-Meter Records with a garage revival sound of 60s punk. But with the minor attention they received in their local Orlando, Florida, The Hate Bombs marched on with some critical comparison to the likes of The Mummies and Supercharger.

Following the next four years of playing throughout the Southeastern coast, The Hate Bombs continued to release an EP annually. This includes She's The Girl (1994), Asphalt Eater (1995) and What A Woman Wants (1996). After the One Thing On My Mind EP in 1997, The Hate Bombs first full-length entitled Here Comes Treble came out that same year with the assistance of 360 Twist Records. Their second full-length Hunt You Down was released two years later after guitarist Fred Mullins filled in for the departed Mick Crowley. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
