The Heartstring Hunters

The Heartstring Hunters are an indie-folk band based in Boulder, CO co-founded by singer-songwriter Carolyn Hunter and her husband and mulit-instrumentalist Daniel Hunter in 2015. They are known for their rich harmonies, youthful optimism and stories-from-the-road. Listeners lovingly match Carolyn Hunter's lead vocals to tones of Joni Mitchell and Tracy Chapman.

Foundational members of the band during their largest touring and recording years 2015-2018 included bassist Alessandro Ceserani, drummer Alex Heaton, and vocalist Rachael Sheaffer. Together they shared stages with artists such as Karla Bonoff, SHEL, Good Lovelies, The Dead Horses, The Leftover Cuties and Miner. They performed at Pagosa Folk'n Bluegrass Festival, Telluride MountainFilm Fest, The Boulder Theater, and the TedX conferences in Denver, though you were just as likely to find them spontaneously entertaining crowds at farmer’s markets and street fairs all over the state. All east-coasters originally, it was the connection over music that brought them together to produce their self titled EP "The Heartstring Hunters" and other live collections "Because I'm Free" and "Rediscover."
