As far as they can remember, William Robin and the brothers Gabriel and Emilio Boutros have always been playing music together. They grew up in the same small village in the South of France lost in-between the forest and the ocean.

Splitting their time between Paris and London, the trio caught a glimpse of a strange and out of place bird in the middle of the night near their rehearsal studio in Brixton, and The Herons were officially born.
In spring 2018, they were joined by Maxime Bracquemart on the drums and released their first EP, A Trick of the Light, which drew comparisons with bands such as Joy Division, New Order or Interpol, notably the leading track A Town's Confession.

The quartet would follow the release with numerous dates on both sides of the Chanel Sea, polishing their sound and identity with each gigs, performing in both London and Paris in venues such as the Silencio Club, surprising the audience with an unusual format in which each member takes the role of vocalist.

They would use that time to compose and record their second EP, that they release in April 2020, while announcing the band break up.

Their music brings us into a moody cinematic and dreamlike world, propitious to introspection, mixed with British Post-punk’s energies, while exploring themes such as loneliness, love, depression, and the uncertainty of all things.
