The Heyokas
“Heyoka: sacred clown, rebel, fool and satirist in the culture of the Sioux of the Great Plains of North America, the one who speaks, reacts and moves in a manner opposite to those around him.” (Wikipedia, translated and summarized )
(The name in this case comes from the Netflix documentary “The Last Dance”)
All of us five fools don't come from the Great Plains (but from Austria, Germany and Hungary) and are by no means Sioux (but 3 Austrians, a German and a Hungarian), but we don't play the way our lyrics would suggest.
Five unruly satirical foolish clowns riding in four-four time in the opposite direction on just one horse named Rock n Roll (you name the drawer yourself).
Founded in 2020, then slowed down by corona, and in the final line up at the beginning of the 2022/23 season, and can basically be described as “unnecessary but awesome”.
The Heyokas are:
Reverend Boldi (writes the lyrics and then sings it too),
Stoney (plays guitar and sings along),
Marc (plays guitar and doesn't sing),
Dennis (plays the drums)
Clemens (plays the bass)
The Heyokas do the songs.
