The High Tide are a rock band from Cape Breton Island. Telling stories of the people and places they care about the most, the band writes music that is reflective of their values and the influences that came before them.

Guitarist Mike O’Brien, bassist Clayton D’Orsay, and guitarist/singer Joe Costello exhibit strong chemistry gained from writing and performing together since 2012. With drummer Lauchlan MacKinnon, this chemistry has a new energy that simultaneously adds depth and aggression to the songs both new and old.

“Off the Road in Shubenacadie” is the epilogue of the band’s time with longstanding drummer Dale Landry (Jester). Recorded at Smashbox Recordings in Dominion, Cape Breton, the pair of songs are the perfect transition to the more fragmented and experimental indie rock songs the band is writing for their full length followup to 2014’s “The Value of the Well.”

The High Tide have performed for audiences across Canada's East Coast. Notable performances include Gobblefest, Rogers Hometown Hockey, Countdown to Makin' Waves, and alongside friends like D.O.A. (BC), Figure Walking (MB), Joe Vickers (AB), David in the Dark (NB), Averages (ON), and Fire Valley Fire (NS).
