The Hollow Roots

The Hollow Roots originally formed to immerse themselves in the dense house show scene of Middle Tennessee in 2012. After making a name for themselves in the local scene they made the move Nashville, TN where they wrote and self-recorded a live, self-titled debut album at South by Sea in East Nashville, TN. They would go on to tour on this album for the next two years, playing in 35 states and playing over 120 shows each year. The Hollow Roots made appearances at SXSW and were fortunate enough to open for some of their favorite artists like JD Simo and Mo Lowda and the Humble.

The Hollow Roots hung on to their DIY esthetic by throwing house shows at their home in Nashville, TN and further growing their local fan base. 2018 saw the release of their second album titled Ghost(s) which earned them another spot at SXSW 2012 and they received their first radio plays with Their single Waves on Lightning100 and 1029 TheBuzz. 2019 saw another 100 show year and in September of that year they had the honor of opening for The Blackfoot Gypsies, at The Mercy Lounge in Nashville, TN.

The Hollow Roots stay true to their DIY esthetic. From their videos, records, and merch, to their promotion and touring, they do everything in house and take great pride in producing the best quality art they can while staying true to themselves and everyone who has been their since the beginning.
