From their inception in 2017, The Hollow Truths have been playing shows and crafting their sound. The band self-describes their style as "modern 90's." With their focus on storytelling and emphasis on the pop elements of alt rock, they often draw comparisons to many bands of that era. The band has also begun dabbling in country/southern rock. Singer/songwriter Brett Buehler says he often finds inspiration for lyrics in "books, bad habits, relationships, & Taoism.” Based out of Baltimore, MD the band continues to play at venues on the east coast and beyond. Including SXSW in Austin, TX. Local radio station WTMD states, "They are rock you can relate to; offering honest storytelling over crunchy jams."
