The Hollywood Arcade is an Electro-pop duo, formed during the Covid lockdown of 2020 (although both members had been performing together for many years all around Australia). Heavily influenced by the burgeoning Synthwave movement, as well as the synth heavy pop of the 70s and 80s, the pair sought to capture the zeitgeist’s current love of nostalgia for an imagined time. Taking elements from all corners of pop culture - including anime, comics and movies - The Hollywood Arcade view the world through the prism of a video game arcade machine.
