The Holy Smog is a group based in Trieste (Italy) formed by four musicians with a great love for music and street art. Lucas Gomez (singer and guitarist) has a background in reggae and hip-hop; Andreja Tull (singer and second guitarist) studies vocal jazz at the Conservatory of Trieste; Angelo Vardabasso (bass and double bass player) has a background in jazz and recently began his studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam; and Mila Comel (drummer and percussionist) studies classical percussions at the Conservatory of Trieste.
The group released their first EP “Black Sky” in September of 2022 after a month of traveling and performing on the streets of various cities in Northern Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. “Black Sky” has 5 original songs recorded in a home studio based in Trieste and produced with the collaboration of musicians from Italy, Portugal and Germany.
The album is a mix of various styles and backgrounds exploring the personality of each member of the group.
