The Honey Empire is an indie rock band whose sound combines vocal harmonies and melodic guitar licks with a nod toward female-led ‘90s alternative. Based in Denver, Colorado, members of the band include Kimberly Gionta (lead singer, rhythm guitar), Yvette Frampton (lead guitar, background vocals), Nick Golder (bass guitar), Ryan Skiles (keyboard), and Blake Watts (drums).
Kimberly and Yvette first started playing together as part of VINE, a local cover band, before recording The Honey Empire’s self-titled debut album, which was released in March 2019 with Josh Skelton on bass. Nick Golder joined the band in 2020 and their single, So Long My Love, was released in April of that year. The band also released two more singles, Jealous in March 2021 and Anyway in October 2021.
