The Human Extinction started as a band in 2010 under the name Sieze The Day by Anthony Ortiz with some high school friends in Whittier, CA. The band's name was later changed and Stephen Terrazas was added on guitar, the 2 would go on to completely overhaul the band's sound to become a modern and more melodic take on deathcore. Sydney Drapkin would join the band on bass to round out the rhythm section and Victor Salazar would take over vocals to deliver both the crushing heavy vocals and melodic clean singing that the new sound required.
