Niclas Wallin isn't a very interesting name, so after bingewatching documentaries about irukandji jellyfish, he decided that The Irukandji Syndrome would be a lot cooler. And the rest is history, sort of. These days the 33 year old is based on the west coast of Sweden but was born and raised in the dark, mysterious forests of Dalarna.
He's been writing songs for more than half of his life and his main influence is things he sees, hears or experiences. But also Elliott Smith, Daniel Johns, Gregory Alan Isakov as well as Mac DeMarco, Phoebe Bridgers just to name a few. He values honesty and making a connection with his songs and writing songs that people can relate to is what it's all about. He considers The Irukandji Syndrome a musical playground where anything might happen as long as the feeling is right, as long as it's fun and creatively fulfilling anything goes.
