The Ivies are a psychedelic rock band based in Liverpool. Influenced by acts such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and The Flaming Lips, their music consists of both equally ethereal and disorienting sonic landscapes, accompanied by lyrics that — reflecting our collective love for classic writers such as Dostoevsky and Homer — often explore fundamental issues of the human existence, such as identity, the environment, death, and the anxieties of everyday life.

The Ivies met in university and have been playing and gigging together ever since. Bonding over a mutual love of psychedelic and progressive music, the trio is formed of Will Fermer, Lewis Fielding and Barney Lines-Hembrey. They normally play bass, guitar, and drums respectively, but are known to switch instruments based on the song.

Having played gigs alongside the likes of Sugar Candy Mountain, Tess Parks, Vinyl Williams, and GIFT, The Ivies are beginning to make waves in the British psychedelic scene. From their meticulously crafted studio output, where the mesmerising songwriting meets perfect production, to their expansive live shows, where the songs evolve and unfold before your very eyes, The Ivies are an ensemble that offer the full gamut of psychedelic music.

Their debut EP ‘Reflections’ is available on all digital platforms now.
