The Junkie Twins are Anthony and David Gill, two brothers from Brooklyn by way of Australia. The band was formed in 2016 after having spent previous years playing together and apart in various bands in Melbourne, Australia.
The Junkie Twins' new album, All Things Future and Past (released December 4th, 2020), was written between 2017-2019 during their travels throughout Costa Rica, California, Paris, and Australia, with the majority written in their "dark and dingy Brooklyn studio."
All Things Future and Past is an expansion from the indie rock sound that defined their debut album Push to Exit; in contrast a more synthesized, beat-driven soundscape. Produced by Willie Green who helped incorporate elements of Hip Hop and R&B, with his background working with artists such as Billy Woods, Wiz Khalifa, The Roots, Armand Hammer, etc… ultimately producing an indie-alternative-art-pop-rock album with sonic influences inspired by 2001 Space Odyssey, FKA Twigs, Solange, Radiohead and Talking Heads.
