Reverie
[rev(ə)rē]
NOUN
a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream.
• music
an instrumental piece suggesting a dreamy or musing state.
Our story so far:
From a humble beginning as a “School of Rock” high school project in 2010, Daniel Cheeks and Adam Brzycki have always put heart and soul into their craft, one bred and grown in the Pacific Northwest.
After releasing an independent EP in 2011; their songs were quickly featured on Portland's 101.9 KINK.FM's Local Artist Spotlight, The University of Oregon's student radio, and KMUN- Oregon's Coast Radio.
During the summer of 2011, while tending an organic farm on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii, they were inspired to take to the streets of Hale'iwa and Honolulu. They thrived living in tents and hitch-hiking around paradise with a song and a dream. In their travels, they also garnered the attention of Johnny Valentine, a prominent recording artist on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu and Uncle to Bruno Mars. With his expertise they were fortunate to learn the ins and outs of writing and studio recording with their first demo of "Kiss of Life."
An unending desire to pursue this dream of sharing their music, their stories, and their lives with the world lead to the production of "Beyond the Blackberry," an independent LP consisting of 13 original tracks and an evolving story of life's progress in musical form.
They now continue creating in the Portland Area with a talented group of friends and musicians.
