The khirki village is a concept of two musicians ( sunil rai and ashish joshi ) since 2014 (based in delhi), who travel around and create independent music which they can feel , they are not bound in genres, it’s a process of expressing what they feel and have observed. Ashish (guitar player for the band) looks forward for creating the intense melody with his instrument and tries out different possibilities within in the zone without losing its flow, where as sunil (lead vocalist of the band) who been associated with Indian classical music knows the importance of simplicity and understands the process of exploring ideas while sticking to the roots.
