The Kidd Electric is an indie/rock band from Ontario, California. They band is infused with a distinctive rockabilly undercurrent and a penchant for dark, atmospheric textures. Powered by evocative guitar riffs, their music channels both grit and emotion.
The group, now comprised of vocalist Cyn Electric, drummer Matthew Hopf, and guitarists Daniel Balboa and Angel Montes de Oca, has evolved through name and lineup changes over a decade of collaboration. Their sound draws on wide-ranging influences, everything from Mother Mother and Metric to Arctic Monkeys and Latin-rock roots.
In April 2024, The Kidd Electric released their debut EP Sonic Bloom, which has already amassed over 29k streams. The songs are deeply personal, many of them forged from Cyn’s life experiences and emotional journeys.
They've performed at storied venues like The Whiskey A Go Go and The Viper Room and even opened for No Doubt.
