The Kindling are a minimal alt-folk band from London (UK). Their widescreen music explores themes of disappointment and hope, loss and discovery, action and reflection. Guy Weir’s disarming voice weaves into noir arrangements that swoop from whispering intimacy to Lynchian dreamscape.
To date they have released three EPs and one album - ‘By morning’ in 2015. Follow up long player “Navigator” is now on its’ way, preceded by two taught, more 70s influenced singles “Low Low Low” from 2019, and “No Illusion” set for release on 20th March 2020.
They have played the Union Chapel (Daylight music), The End Festival, The Lexington, and David Byrne’s Meltdown on London’s Southbank.
