The Kites

The Kites is founded in İstanbul, 2017 by Tan Deliorman & Ozan Erverdi.
They were born and grew up in the same apartment, have been making music since they
were kids. Placing funk, rock and fusion as their foundation, infusing the soul of woodstock with jazz themes, the music contains an array of inspiration that stretches out from afrobeat to psychedelic rock in one pot. The main motivation of The Kites' music, is to get away from the troubles of everyday life and have a good time themselves and for the listeners through their instruments.
The Kites performed their first live performance at ''Parklarda Caz'' during the 25th Istanbul Jazz Festival, which has managed to spread their name in İstanbul’s music scene in a very short time.
After that they had a chance to play in several clubs and festivals such as Zorlu PSM Jazz Festival, Bozcaada Caz Festivali, İstanbul Caz Festivali Gece Gezmesi, Red Bull Music Festival, Demonation Festival, Anahit Sahne, Babylon, IKSV Salon, N.O.P.I Paris.
Their first album, "Sunset Vibes" released through Audioban in vinyl and digital formats. Their new single “New Generation Jungle” is recorded in Red Bull Music Studios, Paris. Which released on 8th of May, 2020.
Atakan Kotiloğlu on bass guitar, Yağmur Kerestecioğlu on keys and Yağız Nevzat İpek on percussions accompany the duo on stage.
