This song waa was written and recorded after a conversation with a few Southern Soul women at a show. They spoke about the difficulties they face as women, expressing that opportunities for shows are are not as available to them as men amongst other things. There's usually only one woman on a Blues/Southern Soul show and they are all competing for that spot. We love being women yet we face difficulties of being a woman in the music industry and business. These women decided to work together to push one song that would get everyone heard while celebrating women. Not complaining about it but embracing every bit of it. Even to point of "given a choice" we'd still choose to take these misty blues like a woman. No matter what, "Ain't nothing like a woman".
