Feeling like they needed a little more light in their lives, The Lantern Parade formed in 2017, a disparate bunch but determined to deliver the goods.
Tales of love, loss, sinners and saints are beautifully told, moving seamlessly between the styles of music on offer, which in this case can be anything from alternative pop to raucous blues and back to a sweeping ballad that ends with the whole band singing in one voice.
And then they play a dance number. You couldn't confuse them with anyone else.
