"Southern Blues-rock" from Maastricht. The band released 5 albums on major record labels such as Polydor, Phonogram, and the Swedish GMR record label.
In 2020, the 4th album "Troubled Mind" ended up in the top 3 of best blues albums in The Netherlands. In 2021 the 5th album "Waitin' was released on the Swedish record label GMR Music. Both albums have been critically acclaimed and have more than 350,000 listens on Spotify and hundreds of thousands of video views on Facebook and Youtube. In 2022, the band was one of the finalists of the Dutch Blues Challenge and thus joined the top of the blues bands in the Netherlands.

The band's music is based on the roots of all music: jazz, blues, rock 'n roll and other original musical styles. An element from each style is taken and combined and infused with a hearty blues-rock sauce. As a result, The Liberators is not a traditional blues cover band, but is influenced by rich music history and gives the blues a new, solid style of its own. Visitors to concerts praise the energy the band exudes and their own spin on traditional music.
