Originally the creation of artist musicians Jean-Luc Jacques and Anna Seberg, ‘La Lumiere Atomique’ were born in Paris, France around the mid 2000’s. While on a commissioned art project in Glasgow, Scotland, Jean-Luc and Anna happened upon an impromptu gig deep underground the streets of Glasgow in an old dark cellar where Andy Bollen and Andy Gardner, together with a few friends, were bashing out a few 60’s garage covers. The four kindred spirits got chatting and agreed to get together to share some musical ideas, and several rehearsals and even a few gigs followed. However, a year later, fleeing the cruel Scottish weather, Jean-Luc and Anna took their songs and returned to Paris where they continue to be involved in film, and the creation of beautiful art. Thus was born the new ‘Light Atomic’ who were occasionally joined by friends Anders Fingerhandson and Barry McKay. Here are a few of the demos they came up with.
