Kathleen "Kat" Boyle started writing songs when she was in elementary school, playing guitar in middle school, and forming bands in high school. By her twenties, she was performing across many NYC stages in indie/garage bands.

Now based in Nashville, TN, The Lorettes is Boyle's solo endeavor. Named after 19th-century modern Parisian women who were often artistic muses, lorettes valued, above all, independence. When asked of her musical influences, Boyle acknowledges Elastica, The Muffs, The Raveonettes, and Kim Deal as her biggest inspirations.

Her first single “Kirk” is a straightforward, three chord, reverb-laden pop crunch about meeting the love of your life.

All songs by The Lorettes are written by, vocals, guitars, bass, and keyboards performed by, produced, recorded, engineered, and mixed by Kathleen Boyle at her home in Nashville, TN. Drums on "Grow Up" played by Jereme Frey (Tower Defense, Apollo Up).

The Lorettes' songs are released in collaboration with Blowtorch Records based in Galway, Ireland, home country of Boyle's ancestry.
