From heavy strings to heart pulling guitar licks, the duo aims to set themselves apart from the rest by being authentic to themselves and their queerness.


Best friends Aqa and Fahani officially debuted as The Lounette on April 4th 2020 with the release of <a href="spotify:track:67ZfHWFHToMo4WhNUZk5a0" data-name="These Nights">These Nights</a> and its music video. Soon after its release, the track successfully featured the band in media articles written by JUICE, Masses MY, Tala Records Asia and many more.


Following the hype they received on their debut release, the band then released <a href="spotify:track:1CxcxTLmZkcPshILHHQ7yc" data-name="These Nights - Stripped">These Nights - Stripped</a> targeting intimacy for their new listeners a month later. This time The Lounette showed different sides to their appeal, bringing in a heavy set of orchestral music which poured in a more melancholic sound. The track was then featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday Singapore, New Music Friday Malaysia (for the week of May 15th 2020) and Made In Malaysia official playlists.


The Lounette then made their first comeback with the alt pop single <a href="spotify:track:7pCoMYTUu4RhyhheULLdr5" data-name="Cherry Wine">Cherry Wine</a> that was released with a dukun themed music video in January of 2022. The track charted on Rakita’s Lokalah Chart peaking at #3 soon after its release and was featured on <a href="spotify:playlist:37i9dQZF1DWWvrRGuT6dlZ" data-name="Fresh Finds SG &amp; MY">Fresh Finds SG &amp; MY</a>.
