Denver-based and born of sun-soaked surf rock and ‘60s garage revival, The Mañanas bring a fresh twist to vintage rock ’n’ roll. Since 2019, lead singer and guitarist Brandon Unpingco joined forces with drummer/producer Danny Pauta to build a sound that nods to the past while living fully in the moment.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of early surf-rock, retro pop, and the reckless energy of garage bands, The Mañanas tap into that shimmering “good-vibes” zone—but they’ve got their own velocity. The duo cut their teeth with uncompromising DIY production, and quickly started turning heads.
Since their inception, they’ve shared stages with bands like Thee Sacred Souls, The Black Lips and The Damned—bringing that same high-octane energy live to fans who love vintage cool and modern charge.
More recently, with bassist Jessica Marlene and guitarist Eliza (from Tiny Tomboy) joining the crew, The Mañanas are entering their next evolution—expanding their lineup, broadening their palette and currently working on their third album. With this new chapter, expect bolder riffs, tighter grooves, and that same sun-drenched rock energy that’s become their signature.
