Mark Schraven, known professionally as “The Mark”, is a Dutch singer, songwriter and recording artist from the suburbs of Tilburg. The Mark’s sound mixes elements of 2000’s rock acts like Kings Of Leon and The Killers with the catchy songwriting of greats like John Fogerty and Steve Miller.
Mark’s songwriting has also garnered praise from session giants such as James Burton and Kenny Aronoff. After hearing Mark’s demos Aronoff commented, “I love the songs.. The feel, the tempo, the vocals.. Very authentic and real..”
As a touring musician Mark has played living rooms, soccer stadiums and all sizes in between. He toured the Netherlands, Europe and the US.
The new single Wondrous, released on September2nd, offers a classic sounding rock song with a poppy mood. Recorded in L.A. with Aronoff and mixed & mastered in New York by Grammy winning engineers, The Mark sounds better than ever!
