The Miltones

The bluesy Americana folk-rock sounds of Auckland quintet The Miltones have been sending ripples through New Zealand since their inception as a duo in 2014.

After opening for Jamie Lawson and The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band in 2016 the band began to sense bigger things were yet to come and went to Lyttelton to record their self-titled debut album with Ben Edwards (Aldous Harding, Marlon Williams, Tami Nielson).

Their highly anticipated album released in 2017, which the New Zealand Listener awarded 4.5/5 and the NZ Herald dubbed: “the freshest sound in New Zealand popular music right now”. July 22nd saw the wrap up of their first nationwide tour, which resulted in up-sizing venues to accommodate ticket sales and a sold-out show at Auckland's iconic Tuning Fork. Two shows at WOMAD left attendees wanting more and emptying the merch table.

With the band excited to be writing in their new home studio, May 2018 saw the release of new stand along single, 'Disappear'. Another blistering tour of their home turf ensued and the band have been hand picked to tour with the exquisite Canadian-Kiwi Queen of country, Tami Nielson throughout Aug & Sept 2018.

The Miltones have their sights firmly set on Australia and are making moves to be there before the end of 2018!

The band consists of Milly Tabak, vocals and guitar, Liam Pratt, guitar, Guy Harrison on keys (Hollie Smith), Chris Marshall on bass (Miss June) and Tom Broome on drums (Esther Stephen & The Means, Hollie Smith).
