The Mississippi Alumni Allstar band was founded in the summer of 2011 by founder, Travis Parks, and co-founders, Travis Prewitt and Christopher Little, also referred to as "The MAAB" and " The Band of the People", is an American Professional Marching Band from Jackson, MS and its surrounding areas. They are best known as a community group that has 'exciting' appearances that cover music that spans the latest hip-hop and r&b to rock standards. They boast around 150 members and have been on national television multiples times and are streamed around the world. You can see them live at their annual event dubbed " The Independence Showdown" or at various events throughout the South.
