The Monyos

There was a guy on his forties called Vincen. He had always been in love with music, so he decided to start taking guitar lessons from a great guitarist called Yuman, a good friend of him. Then they decided to create their own Rock band to play some covers for friends and get some free drinks. They needed a proper singer, and they thought of a common friend, Chus. Why did they choose him? Chus could sing louder than any other of their friends when drunk. But Chus said "no" to the proposal several times... until that very day he got drunk again. Anyway, Chus didn't feel like singing covers, and after a couple of gigs he decided to leave the band. Then Yuman said: "Write our own songs if you dare, man." And Chus took up the challenge... even though he was sober.
Now, they needed a good name for the band. Since they all were Spanish but Chus wanted to sing in English, they decided to choose a mix between both languages: "The Monyos", which could mean "Devils" in Spanglish... and it wasn't taken.

They only needed a bassist and a drummer. Hugo first, and some months later Theo, the Argentinian drummer, joined "The Monyos". They started rehearsing... and the rest is history.
